Guest Theater Directors

Come play with WCP/BHCT. We are looking for 2 two guest directors to helm productions in our up-coming 2026 season:

 

* Neil Simon’s Laughter on the 23rd Floor for WCP. Inspired by Simon's own early career experience as a junior writer for television, this production focuses on the star and writers of a TV comedy-variety show in the 1950s. (Production dates Feb 27th - March 8th)

 

* Louis Sachar’s Sideways Stories from Wayside School for BHCT. The play brings the bizarre and funny world of Wayside School to the stage. The story takes place in a unique school that is thirty stories tall with one classroom on each floor, except for the non-existent 19th floor. The play features the chaotic events of Mrs. Jewel's class, other teachers, and students. (Production dates May 8th - May 17th)

 

Our guest directors are paid positions. They will collaborate with WCP staff, production team members to blend together all elements of a production into a unified fully realized production.

Directors will: interpret the script, cast the production, collaborate with designers, articulate and plan the rehearsals, guide the actors in their work during rehearsals.
