Connecting the worlds of theatre and yoga. Teaching Artist Sam Cota leads kids through poses that stretch their bodies as well as their imaginations.
Wednesdays: February 1 - March 8, 2023 from 4:15-5:00

Play! Get dramatic! Stretch your skills and creativity!! Using games and theatre-based activities. Kids will get a chance to develop their talents and play.

SILLY STORIES & KOOKY CHARACTERS
Get into the wacky drama realm bringing to life well-known characters and their well-known worlds. Using games, objects, and stories, kids will develop creative skills and story-telling talents.

DRAMA OUT LOUD
Write, rehearse, and perform a play you and your classmates create! Through devising, young artists will learn technique and collaboration skills and have their very own work to share with friends and fans at the end.

Want to really prepare for our upcoming production of Newsies, JR.? We have the class for you!
6-week class for Dance/Stunt/Tumbling
This dance, stunt, and tumbling course will meet once weekly for 6 weeks! This class will incorporate learning basic skills to prepare students for being involved in the dance heavy production of Newsies JR at WCP/BHCT! Students will learn the basics of tap dance, tumbling, and stunting along with a choreographed group number incorporating all three skills!
Thursdays, April 6 - May 11, 2023
Ages 6 - 11 meet from 6:00 - 7:00
Ages 12 - 18 meet from 7:00 - 8:00

THE ACADEMY PLAYERS
BHCT is dedicated to developing artists through training and technique to encompass theatrical experiences that support individual growth, collaborative play, and artistic exploration.The Academy helps us to meet this part of our mission through working with dedicated artists committed to developing technique as well as individual skills.
How to become an Academy Player - Prepare an audition of a one minute memorized piece. That piece may be a monologue (published or self-written), a poem, a commercial, etc. It simply must be prepared and memorized. Please no vocal music auditions.
Academy Players must be 11 at the time of auditions and will age out of the Academy in the May following their 14th birthday.
